The O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs seeks an Assistant Director of Admissions.
Coordinates daily recruitment activities within the O'Neill School including daily information sessions and individual appointments for prospective students and their guests.
Leads the O'Neill ambassador team, supervising, training, and evaluating a team of 5-10 graduate and undergraduate student staff who support daily recruitment activities, student visits, outreach activities, and recruitment travel.
Collaborates and consults with the Office of Enrollment Management and the O'Neill School, implements a strategic recruitment plan that encompasses strategies for attracting high-quality undergraduate students to the IU Bloomington campus and the O'Neill School, including the Civic Leaders Living-Learning Center (CLC).
Coordinates recruitment processes for admissions for the IU Bloomington campus with specific responsibilities dedicated to the strategic recruitment and enrollment needs of the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
Analyzes data and maintains accurate records of communications with prospective students, prioritizing data-driven approaches to targeting potential students and evaluating and interpreting regular recruitment, admission, and enrollment reports.
Represents the Office of Admissions and the O'Neill School at on-campus and off-campus recruitment programs run by Office of Admissions, Office of Enrollment Management, and Office of Scholarships, for example college fairs, visitor presentations, virtual webinars, and individual appointments.
Assists with the coordination of the direct admission review and scholarship allocation processes within the O'Neill School.
Collaborates with O'Neill information technology and records offices to manage and process admissions and scholarship data.
Reports recruitment, admissions, and enrollment data on a regular basis.
Integrates a diverse and strategic communications strategy in collaboration with other departments, geared toward specific student declared academic major, career interests, and geographic factors.
Identifies and develops partnerships for outreach to prospective students and influencers.
Interprets academic policies and exercises authority and independent judgment.
Exercises independent judgment and uses census data and modeling tools to identify effective marketing plans and strategies to address specific populations.

Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, or related field

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
