Job Description:
Our client is seeking a contract, remote-working technical
writer to work with business partners to develop Standard Operation
Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation for Enterprise
Operations. SOPs would be based around projects like call center
scripts, how-to flow intake of a new customer, etc. The technical
writer will utilize subject matter expertise to develop or revise
written procedures for existing processes, improvement initiatives,
operational process changes and new product/system implementations.
Technical Writers must be able to work well independently as well
as within a team environment. Interested? Let's talk You Will:
Adhere to documentation development approach and style and usage
guidelines. Facilitate meetings with Subject Matter Experts as
needed to ensure document accuracy and usability. Synthesize
complex material into structured, readable documentation.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and SMEs to ensure maximum
content applicability. Create additional content, including online
job aids and shareable content. Observe and analyze operational
processes and production to gain knowledge and expertise needed to
support the maintenance and development of departmental
documentation. Conduct research as needed. Organize material and
complete SOPs according to set standards regarding order, clarity,
conciseness, style, and terminology. Support the collection, review
and version tracking of documents. Analyze changes to determine
need for revisions in previously published materials and
development of new material. Translate complex technical content
into easily readable text, tables, charts, diagrams and graphics,
as appropriate. Execute editing and quality assurance reviews for
accuracy and thoroughness. You Have: In-depth experience with
creating and managing version control for documented procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Proper use of
grammar and punctuation, Ability to communicate in a way that is
simplistic but with sufficient detail to be understood by
appropriate audience.) High level of competence with MS Office and
MS Visio Displays flexibility and responds and adjusts to changing
situations or priorities Excellent interpersonal skills,
effectively collaborates with others and builds strong
relationships within team and business partners A Bachelor---s
degree in in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
Experience in the Insurance industry is a plus (but not required).
A minimum of five (5) years of technical writing and editing
experience. Technical Writing Certifications such as the Society of
Technical Communication---s Certified Professional Technical
Communicator Foundational and Practitioner (CPTC) are a plus.
Logistics : Projected Start Date: June 6, 2022 Duration: 4 Months
Hours/Week: 40 Rate: $45 per hour W2 Fully Remote on Eastern or
Central Hours Laptop Required, Software licenses can be provided.
