Job Description:
Remote or locations in: Carmel, Indiana; Eagan, Minnesota; or
Little Rock, Arkansas The role of MISO's Platform Engineer is to
maintain secure and reliable operation of cloud platforms with a
focus on automation, process improvement, security, and
reliability. You will guide cloud governance strategy, develop
cloud service automation and self-service provisioning using
private and public cloud solutions. You will rely on your
experience with Azure cloud solutions, VMware, and Infrastructure
as Code to implement public cloud platforms at MISO and develop and
execute cloud migration strategies! Be responsible for facilitating
the rapid deployment of secure systems within the platform. Improve
the availability of the existing systems through proper monitoring
and observability to proactively address problems before they are
service-impacting. Continuously improve processes, design, and
practice with a focus on IT services and outcomes. Diagnose and
tackle complex distributed systems. Work and collaborate across
teams, such as Application Development, Infrastructure, and Cyber
Security. Demonstrate your knowledge and experience with scripting,
automation & orchestration, and use your skills in configuration
management, cloud networking & security, source code management,
and governance to help drive the organization forward in cloud
adoption and process maturity. Experience with cloud governance,
security, federated access, and services adoption will be key to
your success in this role, and your ability to work a 24x7 on-call
