Job Description:

This position is the Product Engineering leader for Cox Automotiveaposs NextGear Capital business. This leader will lead, direct and manage the full lifecycle of product - from vision and strategy to delivery and rolloutimplementation - translating business plans and objectives into clear, innovative and strategic actions. The successful candidate will leverage a deep understanding of the customer, financial, and technology levers that drive success to develop enterprise product and implementation strategies. Critical to the role will be the ability to successfully partner with business leaders, product and engineering center of excellence leaders, and other stakeholders to champion the strategy, design, development, launch, and management of products that delight clients and team members, while also meeting strategic business, product and technology objectives. This person will also be responsible for the delivery of strategic product and technology initiatives, including replacing the key platform underpinning the business with a leading third-party SaaS solution, integrating that solution into the broader NextGear Capital product and solution ecosystem and working with business partners to ensure its successful adoption. The leader will ensure long-term organizational health. They will be responsible for inspiring, developing and proactive management of product and engineering talent and teams. They will develop and execute strategic resourcing plans that intelligently leverage both internal and external resources. They will foster a culture that mirrors Cox values, ensuring we deliver excellence for our clients, meet our business and financial objectives, and support and develop our employees. Key Responsibilities Leads the overall management of current Cox Automotive NextGear Capital products through the full product lifecycle, including the creation and execution of new products and features as well as enhancements, extensions and retirements of existing products. Leverages in-depth understanding of our product capabilities and product offerings and stays abreast of industry product and engineering trends to ensure we are defining and creating the best products possible in a rapidly changing digital landscape. Sets strategic direction for the supporting technology platforms that enable our products Acts as a trusted advisor to business executives, creating buy-in, leading communication and providing thought leadership so that the best solution possible is implemented. Articulates the vision and strategic direction of the organization to the product engineering teams helps others translate strategic goals into tactical objectives with clear project parameters (e.g., budget, timeline, deliverables). Successfully drives the delivery of strategic product and technology initiatives, including replacing the key platform underpinning the business with a leading third party SaaS solution. Creating and executing on strategic resourcing plans to ensure organizational strength, cost efficiency and flexibility by leveraging both internal resourcing as well as key strategic sourcing providers. Drives an operating model that ensures agile delivery teams have the clarity and support they need to maximize product value and overall return on investment. Builds a strong team through clearly defining roles, attracting, retaining, and training talent, with a focus on developing team members. Leads the development and management of product and engineering budgets in support of business objectives. Clearly understands the skills and experiences needed to fill gaps in hisher area of influence. Develops clear succession plans identifies top talent and growth opportunities. Focuses on staff development to ensure the organization can promote from within. Ensures the vision and strategies of product and engineering consider future needs and developments. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience 12+ years' experience in Business Operations, Product Development, Software Engineering, or related functions, with at least 7 years of experience in a senior management capacity leading large-scale engineering product organizations with client-facing websites, product development of internal-use software (software used by team members). Strong knowledge of large-scale leanagile software delivery approaches. Must possess the vision and understanding to effectively lead teams to consistently deliver exceptional product experiences to clients. Leadership experience in a product and engineering organization building and leading high performing teams that consistently meet or exceed team and business goals in sophisticated, fast-paced, high change, matrixed organizations. Proven experience in large scale system implementation efforts including using 3rd party packaged solutions Ability to build strong working relationships across the organization at all levels Proven experience in creating and managing budgets Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Proven experience championing change, solving problems, thinking strategically, managing relationshipsteams Coachingdeveloping others. Business savvy, customer focus, planningorganizing and talent management ability. Ability to simplify complex ideas into component parts to communicate a vision effectively and efficiently Must have a high sense of urgency and tenacity to achieve goals Desired Skills and Experience Experience in the financial services industry building or implementing Credit Risk Decisioning systems and processes Large Scale agile transformation experience Experience with Cloud-based software engineering, preferably AWS cloud.
