Apply now - we can't wait to hear from you! Summary of Role: Responsible for the timely and accurate scheduling of all perioperative procedures and ensuring optimal utilization of anesthesia time. Coordinates anesthesia coverage for all the organization venues covered by Community Medicine Anesthesia. Provides functional guidance to physician offices, anesthesiologists, surgeons and operating room staff on issues related to scheduling of anesthesia. REQUIREMENTS: + Bachelor's Degree Preferred+ Requires ability to promote teamwork and build effective business relationships + Requires a high level of interpersonal and problem-solving skills + Requires strong customer service focus + Requires ability to apply the organization and Community Medicine Anesthesia scheduling policies and procedures + Requires organizational skills and ability to prioritize + Requires knowledge of computer systems and various software applications + Requires initiative and ability to work independently + Requires knowledge of outside regulating agencies' standards in order to assist in departmental compliance Responsibilities: Schedule Development - Ensures that anesthesia time is maximally utilized. Maintains up-to-date information related to physician staff privileges. Coordination/Planning - Arranges anesthesia coverage by utilizing call schedule, vacation schedule, surgeon preference lists, physician staff privileges, and other Community Medicine Anesthesia scheduling guidelines. Projects/Reports - Assists with continuously evaluating the effectiveness of the computerized scheduling system and upgrading as necessary. Provides scheduling reports and information as necessary.
