• Employment Type: TravelJob Description:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Contract Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled nurse to provide exceptional care to expectant mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled nursing care to laboring patients, assist with deliveries, and support families throughout the birthing process.
  • Monitor and assess fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and progress of labor.
  • Administer medications and pain management interventions as ordered.
  • Support patient education, offering guidance on labor, delivery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient.
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies as necessary, including resuscitation and stabilization.
  • Maintain clear and accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Provide postpartum care and education for mothers and newborns.
  • Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.Qualifications:
    • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of IN.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
    • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
    • Strong understanding of fetal monitoring, labor stages, and delivery processes.
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

      Minimum Requirements:
      
      Current 2 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience
      Current IN RN License
      Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
      Additional Certifications may be required
      Drivers License
      EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used)
      Final RTO or any scheduling requests
