Job Description:

Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years required License: IN or compact
license required within specified time frame Certifications: ACLS,
BLS, AWHONN Intermediate required Must-Have: Required Triage
experience. Preferred experience in Circulate and Assist/PACU. Must
be willing to float to Postpartum and NICU. Must work every other
weekend. Is required to circulate. Description: This position
involves working in a Level 2 OB and Level 3 NICU unit. Clinical
conditions include pre-eclampsia/hypertension disorders,
gestational diabetes, Type 1 diabetes, preterm labor, intrauterine
growth restrictions, fetal demises, and labor inductions. The unit
performs 140-160 deliveries per month and offers various special
procedures, including cerclages and versions. There are 12 labor
and delivery inpatient rooms with 24-hour laborist and midwife
coverage. The department includes an OBED with 6 rooms, a PACU with
4 beds, and 2 OB operating rooms. Special equipment includes
wireless fetal monitors, bariatric rooms with ceiling lifts, and
Centrak infant security systems. All travelers must be flexible to
float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as
needed. Candidates must meet certification requirements specific to
the unit and be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
Floating is mandatory for all travelers.
