Medasource is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:CVICU - Discipline:RN - Start Date:ASAP - Duration:13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, days, nights - Employment Type:Travel Job Title:CVICU Nurse Shift:Days / Nights / Rotating (depending on position) Job Summary: The CVICU Nurse provides specialized care to critically ill patients recovering from complex cardiovascular surgeries, including open-heart procedures, heart transplants, and other major cardiac interventions. This nurse works as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced hemodynamic monitoring, medication titration, and life-saving interventions in a high-acuity ICU setting. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and manage post-operative cardiovascular patients requiring intensive nursing care. - Operate and manage life-support equipment such as ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and CRRT machines. - Administer and titrate IV medications such as vasopressors, sedatives, and anti-arrhythmics. - Assess and document patient status, respond to rapid changes in condition, and communicate with physicians and other healthcare staff. - Educate patients and families on post-operative recovery and long-term care considerations.
