experience - Experience with mixed acuity patients Description:
Position available for a Registered Nurse in a progressive care
unit. This unit provides care for medical patients along with some
PCU level care. Role includes caring for oncology and stroke
patients. Ratios are 1:5-6 for medical-surgical patients and 1:3-4
for PCU patients. Nurses will manage medications including
Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin drips. Patients will include
those with unstable strokes and BiPap needs. The unit is a dynamic
environment with both medical-surgical and progressive levels of
care. Areas of focus include oncology, stroke, cardiac,
gastrointestinal, and pulmonary care. Floating to other areas is
required. Candidates must possess the required certifications prior
