Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year required. 1st time travelers accepted with 3 years of experience. Call required: Minimum 2 days a week and every 3rd weekend. License: Must have a current nursing license. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT, RCIS required. Must-Have: Scrub experience preferred. Conscious sedation required. Daily census: 5-7 patients. Description: The ideal candidate will possess scrub experience. Minimum experience required is 1 year. First-time travelers are accepted if they have 3 or more years of experience. Call will be required a minimum of 2 days a week and every 3rd weekend. Daily patient census will range from 5 to 7. Documentation will be done using Cerner and McKesson systems. The candidate must be certified in ACLS, BCLS, ARRT, and RCIS. Skills needed include circulating and performing conscious sedation. Procedures will include cardiac procedures such as LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, temporary pacers, permanent pacers/defibrillators, pericardial effusion, and STEMI calls. Interventional radiology skills should include venous access, drain placements, GI tube insertions, PE, DVTs, TIPS, PV, fistula work, UFEs, and prostate embolizations. Special equipment used will include various injectors, imaging systems, and devices for interventional procedures. The candidate will be required to float within the facility as necessary. Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
