Details - Sign on bonus $20,000 - Department: Cardiac Services - Operating Room - Schedule: Full Time Day - Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center - Location: 10580 N. Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical or other invasive procedures. Responsibilities: - Perform both scrub functions and handling of instruments and supplies used during complex cardiovascular surgical procedures. - Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient during cardiovascular procedures. - Assist operating physicians and anesthesia with accessing and maintaining lines and intubation during cardiovascular procedures. - Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. - One or more of the following required: - Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences Full time - four ten hour shifts per week. On call - must be within 30 minutes of hospital.
