Job Details Job Description: Full-Time Locums GI Physician (Clinic Procedures) Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days Start Date: December 2025 Position Type: Full-time, ongoing locum opportunity Position Overview: We are seeking a Full-Time Locums GI Physician to join our clinic for both clinical and procedural care. This is an ongoing, full-time need that will involve a mix of patient care in the clinic and performing a variety of GI procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and various diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. The schedule is flexible but generally follows clinic hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a patient load of approximately 15 patients per day. There is no call requirement for this position. Key Responsibilities: Clinic and procedure-based care with a flexible schedule (typically 8 AM - 5 PM). Provide GI procedures including: Upper GI Endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery vs. laser for bleeder, and injection of varices). Esophageal dilation/manometry (preferred). Small Bowel Biopsy (preferred). Lower GI Endoscopy (preferred). Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid) (preferred). Colonoscopy (required, with biopsy and excision of polyps). Liver Biopsy (preferred). Supervise an APP (NP/PA) in the clinic. Ensure timely and accurate documentation using the Epic EMR system. Collaborate with support staff to provide the highest quality care to patients. Perform procedures efficiently with anesthesia available as needed. Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Certification Licensing Requirements: Must be IN licensed or eligible through IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact). EMR System: Epic Schedule Details: Flexible schedule, typically 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. No call. Approximately 15 patients per day in the clinic. Procedures will vary based on type, provider speed, and patient needs. Anesthesia available for procedures as needed.
