Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Lafayette, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,089 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/10/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Lafayette, Indiana, 47905! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 18 months of experience required License: Must have state nursing license in hand prior to start date Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin, Post Heart Cath, and Post Pace-maker. - Solid Neuro experience. Description: This is a mixed acuity unit providing care for medical patients and some progressive care level patients. The unit also specializes in oncology and stroke care. The ratio for medical/surgical patients is 1:5-6. The ratio for progressive care patients is 1:3-4. Nursing staff will manage Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin drips. The unit will see unstable strokes and patients requiring BiPap. The unit comprises both medical-surgical and progressive levels of care. Areas of care include oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients. Candidates must have experience managing cardiac drips without titration and other related procedures. Knowledge of IV insulin protocols and interpretation of dysrhythmias is required. The position may require floating within the facility or nearby affiliate hospitals.
