Opportunity We are seeking a Microsurgery-trained Plastic Surgeon
to become part of the academic faculty at our institution, focusing
on advanced microsurgical reconstruction techniques, including
oncologic, extremity, and lymphatic reconstruction. The role
encompasses clinical responsibilities, teaching residents and
fellows, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and engaging
in both clinical and basic science research. This position is
situated within tertiary care centers in our health system,
offering avenues for academic growth and participation in global
surgical initiatives. The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery at our academic institution is looking for a full-time
Microsurgery-trained Plastic Surgeon to join its faculty. The ideal
candidate will possess a strong passion and expertise in
microsurgical reconstruction, particularly in oncologic, complex
extremity, and lymphatic reconstruction. This role presents an
exciting chance to be part of a developing academic practice that
prioritizes excellence in clinical care, education for residents
and fellows, and impactful scholarship. Clinical duties will
involve advanced microsurgical reconstruction utilizing free tissue
transfer techniques to address a wide range of reconstructive
needs. Additionally, the position includes opportunities to enhance
clinical programs throughout the health system and to engage in
collaborative, multidisciplinary care pathways. Teaching
opportunities will be available for learners at various levels,
including students, integrated and independent pathway Plastic
Surgery residents, and fellows pursuing advanced microsurgery
training. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive microsurgical
reconstruction services, including oncologic, lymphatic, extremity,
and general reconstructive procedures. Participate in shared call
coverage within the Plastic Surgery Division. Work closely with
clinical teams across Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgery, General
Surgery, and Orthopedic Surgery. Educate and mentor residents,
fellows, and medical students through structured teaching methods.
Engage in clinical or basic science research, with support
available for both surgeon-scientists and clinically focused
faculty. Contribute to the Division's global surgery initiatives
through the AMPATH Global Program, if desired. Clinical Sites The
primary clinical activities will occur at tertiary care centers
within our health system, including various hospitals. Outpatient
care will be provided through affiliated specialty clinics located
in both suburban and urban areas, with access to advanced practice
provider support and multidisciplinary services. Qualifications
Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Plastic Surgery.
Completion of a Microsurgery Fellowship is mandatory. Proven
expertise and enthusiasm for teaching and academic development.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to
collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Commitment

clinical or tenure track, depending on qualifications and academic
interests. The academic rank will align with experience and
