Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Bloomington,
Indiana, 47408! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

have valid nursing license prior to start date Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in PCU required Comfortable
floating to inpatient PCU unit Experience with team nursing and
delegation Description: This unit is an acuity adaptable unit.
Patients can range from medical-surgical level of care to
PCU/step-down/ICU level of care. Ratios can vary from 1:4 to 1:6
depending on patient acuity type and level of care. This is a float
position, and the registered nurse must have PCU experience. This
is a boarding unit where patients come from the emergency
department and are boarded until discharge or transfer to an
inpatient unit. Patients are stable and will be moved out if they
become unstable. The unit size is small with fluctuating ratios. It
can expand from a 4-bed unit to as many as 8 to 10 beds based on
patient need and staffing adjustments. Staffing may consist of a
nurse with a certified nursing assistant or nurse with a licensed
practical nurse, depending on the acuity and ratios. Team nursing
is practiced in this unit with an RN and LPN working together.
Registered nurses need to be comfortable collaborating with LPNs in
a team nursing environment. Weekend shifts are required every other
weekend. Candidates must have experience with Cerner charting
system. This position involves high patient admission, discharge,
and transfer rates. Registered nurses may be asked to manage up to
15 admissions in a day due to constant turnover. RNs should be able
to function effectively in a high-paced area with fluctuating
ratios. Candidates must be willing to float within the facility or
to affiliated facilities as required. This position is open to
