Job Description:
Ascension seeks a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN)
for our Emergency Department (ED), committed to transforming
healthcare through innovation and compassion. In this critical
role, you will be integral to our team, providing high-quality
medical care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will
have a passion for healthcare and the skillset to handle emergency
situations effectively, while upholding our mission to deliver
personalized, faith-based healthcare. Provide direct nursing care
in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
of the healthcare organization. Monitor, record, and communicate
patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized
documentation systems. Initiate emergency resuscitative measures
according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support
protocols. Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic
environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital
standards. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a
physician or according to established policies and protocols. Guide
and direct healthcare personnel (LPNs, CNAs, unit clerks, etc.) in
maintaining standards of professional nursing practice. Ability to
work effectively under high pressure in fast-paced environments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in using
health care technology and electronic health records. Capable of
making critical decisions in high-stress situations. Medical

Current Registered Nurse License in the state of employment. Basic
Life Support (BLS) Certification required upon hire. Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
