Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required after submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >1 mile from facility to be submitted. • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. • 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health. • 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health. Additional Details: Required Skills/Experience Prescreen Question: Does RN have experience with voiding trials and/or urogyn surgeries? Must have 3-4’s in Bariatric Surgery, Thyroidectomy, Bowel Obstruction, and CBI General surgery post care 3/4 Urology and GYN post surgical care 3/4 Peripheral nerve block catheters Surgical drains Wound Care/Wound Vac SSN required at time of submittal DOB required at time of submittal You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer Required Credentials Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. Shift & Scheduling Weekend coverage every other weekend required. Floating Requirements Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s nearby. Job Highlights IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour. Department Details: 5C is a 31 bed med-surg unit with a concentration in general surgery, urology, gynecology and bariatric surgery. Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics Provider Supports: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation Patient Population: Post-op, Ortho, Bariatric, Uro-GYN, Colorectal No specific charting required for any IU health positions. First Time travelers Accepted: Yes. Consecutive Contract Policy: Current or past IU travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment anywhere within IU Health are required to take a designated break to reset travel eligibility effective 2/24/26. Out-of-state residents: require a 3 month/90 day break to reset eligibility prior to the traveler’s year mark. In-state residents require a 6 month/180 day break to reset eligibility prior to the traveler’s year mark. Required Skills/Experience: Med/Surg, Endocrine /Metabolic, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary/Renal, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Orthopedics, Plastics Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID: Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy. Details: • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer.
