Job Description:
Full-time Description The Host plays an essential role in
shaping the guest’s first and last impression of Won’t Stop
Hospitality. Energetic, friendly, professional, and confident, the
Host provides a warm and organized welcome to every guest. This
position is responsible for managing the flow of the restaurant
through strategic seating, efficient communication, and calm
composure during high-volume periods. The Host upholds Won’t Stop
Hospitality’s radically different and radically better guest
experience by embodying the company’s core values and maintaining a
professional, polished demeanor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &
RESPONSIBILITIES: Promptly make eye contact, smile, and greet each
guest as they enter the restaurant. Warmly welcome guests and
determine the most efficient way to accommodate their dining
experience. Maintain flow and rotation of seating to ensure smooth
service and balanced sections. Practice keen organizational acumen
and communicate seating needs effectively to service and management
teams. Answer phone calls, manage reservations, and respond to
guest inquiries with professionalism and accuracy. Maintain an
accurate waitlist, quoting realistic wait times and providing
updates as needed. Assist service staff with bussing, cleaning, and
resetting tables to maximize seating efficiency. Observe guest body
language and dining patterns to proactively communicate needs to
service staff. Complete each dining experience with a warm farewell
and sincere invitation for a return visit. Maintain composure and a
welcoming demeanor during peak service hours. Other duties as
assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Strong attention to
detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization. Ability to
work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment. Excellent
teamwork and communication skills. Ability to anticipate needs and
respond proactively to both guest and team requirements. High
integrity, reliability, and openness to feedback. Ability to work
in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Professional
demeanor and guest-centered mindset. Team-oriented with strong
interpersonal and communication skills SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have direct supervisory
responsibilities but is expected to work collaboratively under the
direction of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual
must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred. Must
demonstrate basic understanding of food handling, sanitation, and
prep procedures. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write and speak
fluently, in the primary language of the property location.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense, define problems,
collect data and notify management when necessary. Ability to
successfully re-prioritize tasks in a moment’s notice. MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS: Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
