The ideal candidate has a passion in modernizing services and applications in an environment that fosters DevOps architecture, processes, and technologies. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance. Code, test, debug, document and deliver modified and new programs to meet business and compliance requirements Collaborate with architects, database engineers, and other software developers in conceptualizing, initiating and developing new software programs and applications Provide expert technical advice and guidelines for each of the core architecture domains (e.g. application, integration, data, infrastructure, delivery) Work closely with assigned business groups to define application enhancements and requirements Must be able to solve complex problems by utilizing new technologies Assist in translating business requirements into project or design plans Create integration solutions that can successfully integrate across multiple systems within the MISO environment and meet requirements Maintain integrity of program logic and coding, and establish required checks and balances for operational controls. Monitor production programs for expected performance and respond to errors and emergency problems Use coding methods for specific programming language to enhance or initiate efficient program execution and performance, and to reach optimum hardware utilization Determine, develop and maintain shared software libraries, user manuals and guidelines, and design artifacts as determined for the project or software implementation Manage a smooth transition from development to operations, adhere to committed release schedules and ensure a smooth rollout, deployment and transfer to operations and support groups Act as a mentor to software developers of other levels. Apply software development security principles Ability to work a 24 x7 on-call rotation schedule Establish and manage required checks and balances for operational controls QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or ten years of relevant work experience required) Master's Degree, strongly preferred Eight years' software development experience with Java, C#, .Net. Four years of Java experience strongly preferred. Specific experience in the following: Working on a software development team following Agile methodologies and principles, required Experience with test-driven development, required Experience in a DevOps culture of sustaining what you build Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES Proficient in various programming languages and tools including Java, C#, .Net 4, Angular 5 and 6. Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns. Ability to learn, use, implement and integrate leading technologies. Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL Technical Capabilities - Preferred Excellent working knowledge of current Internet technologies, including Rest, SOAP, HTTP and JSON Experience with high volume, highly available and data intensive applications Experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) such as Kubernetes Experience developing event driven services Experience with API Gateway Experience with data virtualization technologies such as GraphQL and Falcor Experience with Message Processing and Integration Frameworks such as Camel, Mule Runtime, Spring Integration, and/or Spring Cloud Data Flow Experience with Oracle and/ or SQL Server Experience with no-SQL databases such as MongoDB Experience with Graph database such as Neo4J Location: Carmel, IN Activation Date: Thursday, August 2, 2018 Expiration Date: Friday, September 14, 2018 Apply Here
